Sometimes the reason for seeking therapy is very clear; at other times, it may be a long-standing sense of unease, recurring relationship patterns or a burden felt in the body. What matters to me is understanding the difficulty not merely as a “symptom”, but within the context of your life story and current circumstances.
Within EMDR, case formulation and the therapy plan can be structured according to the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. The process is not limited to techniques aimed at a single symptom; past experiences, present triggers and future needs are considered as a whole.
I work in person with adults seeking therapy in Turkish in central Gothenburg, and online with clients in Türkiye, Europe and other countries where the time difference is suitable.
I work with anxiety and panic, traumatic experiences, dissociative symptoms, migration and adjustment, addiction-related difficulties, parenting, and some concerns in which the mind-body interaction is prominent.
Persistent worry, panic attacks, health anxiety, phobias and avoidance cycles.
