I pursued my psychology education in Türkiye and Sweden. I continue to develop my clinical work through EMDR and other psychotherapy training, and my academic work through research on migration and loneliness.
I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Bilkent University with High Honors and later completed the Master’s Programme in Psychological Science at the University of Gothenburg, earning a master’s degree in psychology.
My academic education has been assessed in Sweden by UHR (Universitets- och högskolerådet; Swedish Council for Higher Education). I am currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki in the Doctoral Programme in Population Health and Human Behaviour (Doctoral Programme in Population Health and Human Behaviour) programme.
In Türkiye, I worked as a psychologist in a university hospital and in special education/rehabilitation. In my clinical work, I provide individual therapy to adults and continue developing my psychotherapy approach through scientific literature, supervision and professional training.
