Dissociative symptoms

Feeling “not quite there”, experiencing the surroundings as distant, living on autopilot or having difficulty remembering certain moments.

How can it be experienced?

Dissociative symptoms do not look the same for everyone. Some people may at times feel detached from their body, perceive the surroundings as foggy or distant, have difficulty recalling certain moments, or feel as if they are living on autopilot.

How can it be addressed in therapy?

In therapy, it is important first to establish a safe and regulating framework. We can work together to understand when symptoms increase, what they are related to and how they affect daily life.
